What we will cover
Shooting the Milky Way. One of the most exhilarating experiences you could have as a photographer! Much to cover and plan for. But after you take the first shots you are hooked!
We plan to cover these items
A demonstration of the tools in PhotoPills to understand MilkyWay movement along with how to shoot star trails.
Discussions about the importance of planning for your shoot to account for foreground elements if needed and also Milky Way orientation.
Understand the ideal shutter speed/aperture/ISO/white balance and how they play off each other.
The toughest one. How to focus your lens at night
October is one of the best weather months on the Central Coast for Milky Way. The galactic core is out early in the evening so you have the opportunity to capture sunset, the Milky Way, and still be home at a decent hour. We are typically past the months where fog moves in off the ocean and before the winter rains start.
Please plan to join us on October 6th. If it looks to be foggy we have alternative areas inland slightly further.
This is one of my most requested workshops and is sure to sell out.
The cost for this workshop is $125 and includes a $70 print credit from McKenna Pro.
