First Steps into Landscape Photography Workshop I - Stover Photo
San Simeon Pier at Sunset

Are you wanting to move from using your Iphone to using a real camera?  Do you want to understand more about how to compose stunning landscape photos?  Or maybe you want to learn more about how your camera operates and what settings to use and when?

Look no further.  At these classes the pace matches your skills and we can cover whatever topics and areas you need the most.

Some of the items we cover in the introductory classes

The exposure triangle.  How do aperture, ISO, and shutter speed play off each other and when would you be better adjusting one vs. the other.

Understanding your histogram.  What does the shape on your camera screen tell you about your shot and how you might change your settings?

Shot composition.  What photography rules should you be putting into your shot?

Camera operation.  How do you best navigate in your camera?

What does your histogram tell you?

The Details

These workshops run based on demand by people just like you!  Typically I get 1-2 people interested and we find a date that works.  If you want private instruction the rate is $75 per hour.  For the workshop the rate is $75 and the workshops last between 2 and 3 hours.

The added bonus is it comes with a free 16x20 metal print of your own work or a $70 credit with one of the leading print companies, McKenna Pro.  So the workshop is almost free!
