Discover how fun and simple it is to shoot the SuperBloom!
Carrizo Plain National Monument is one of the best kept secrets in California.
The plain is home to diverse communities of wildlife and plant species including several listed as threatened or endangered and is an area culturally important to Native Americans. Prominent features on the monument include the white alkali flats of Soda Lake, Painted Rock, vast open grasslands, and a broad plain rimmed by mountains. When conditions are right, numerous wildflowers can carpet the valley floor; although short lived it can be breathtaking.
April is typically the peak month for the bloom in California. Many factors such as heat and precipitation dictate the length and intensity of the bloom. We are targeting Saturday April 14th as our day of choice. As we approach I will be monitoring the conditions and reporting back.
We will plan to catch the late afternoon light and into sunset time will plan to meet in San Luis Obispo at 1:30 PM or if you are coming from LA or the Central Valley we will plan to meet at the Carrizo Plains Visitor Center at 3pm.
The cost for this workshop is $125.00 but includes a print credit of $70. That makes the cost $55.
