Processing Dynamic Light in our Images

Not knowing how to process the dynamic light in your images can be very frustrating. This session will help you to recognize the light within the field and know how you can best process and showcase different types of light that you will encounter using all kinds of different techniques.

Session Details

This tutorial focuses on creating special effects using Photoshop that enhance or emulate light. Effects include:

1. Orton Effect (soft glowing effect)

2. Diffuse Light (denser atmospheres, depth and mist)

3. Specular Highlighting (making a feature of over-exposed parts in a forest canopy)

4. Using the Dodge Tool

5. Light Bleed (adding a dramatic light source that spills into the frame)

6. Enhancing Crepuscular Rays (or God Rays) in Photoshop, without more expensive software

As part of this class you will get the step by step instructions of how to complete these adjustments.
